Really a hidden gem. This is an eco horse riding adventure camp for kids and their adults. It’s fully catered which is amazing and the hosts are just the best people. We absolutely loved everything about this place, it’s people and the experience.

Drive the Araluen Heritage Trail

Just 30 minutes away, this is a trip to another world.

When I first moved to Braidwood I was invited to help drove cattle on horseback through the valley and into Braidwood Saleyards. Riding past the pub on my favourite horse, with a 100 head of cattle and grabbing a drink to go, was an out-of-body experience for me :)

The valley is absolutely gorgeous, with a different weather pattern from up in the Bombay Hills, and has so much history you can explore.

From the Indigenous tribes (Araluen means Valley of Lillies or Valley of Peace in Dhurga language), to the Gold Rush (where there were 128 pubs and Dancing Halls along the main street) to the present day orchards, pasture-raised meat and vegetables grown on the deep rich soil.

Cool off and Relax in the Spa

We’ve set it up under the verandah of the Clubhouse, next to the arena, with a pool safety fence around it.

When you get too hot riding in the arena, you’ll be able to quickly jump in the spa to cool down.

Then at the end of our big day of riding, we’ll put the bubbles, lights and music on to relax those muscles - and have fun!

Your parents will be able to watch you riding in the arena, while they relax in the bubbles with a long cool drink…  Your brothers will love it too!

If you ride your bike or horse out for a treat at the cafe, you can cool off quickly in the spa.

And if you’re staying overnight in a Tiny House, you’ll be able to relax in the warm bubbles and enjoy watching the stars and the visiting possums.

But Saddle Camp Riders get first priority!

Swim at the Bombay Swimming Holes

Just 3 minues down the road, in the Shoalhaven River. Jumping off the diving rock, paddling at the shallow sandy shore and exploring the rock pools and rapids are our favourite things to do in summer. We’re looking forward to floating on air mattresses from our bridge down to Warri Bridge. Maybe this summer :)

Check out our Games Room

with an Air Hockey Table, piano, board games, Netflix in the lounge area, and great books on farming and horses :)

Explore the Walking Trails

The “Grand Adventure” Trail is a 5 km loop through our 168 acre property. Follow our pink ribbons across meadows, wetlands, and woodlands that are fiercely recovering from the 2019 bushfire. Or choose the much gentler 1.5 km “Mini Adventure”.

Take your phone to snap photos of wildlife for our Wildlife Photo Competition (just take photos of 7 types of wild animals here for a prize). Use your phone to scan our QR codes along the way to read ghost stories about the area, learn about the history you’re walking through, and find out which bush tucker plants you can snack on as you go. Or just to call me if you get lost :)

Ride your bike - There are awesome bike rides! There’s the Farringdon Road loop. You can follow it through gorgeous open farmland and when you hit a crossroad turn left (still Farringdon Road). Ride over the causeway and you’ll end up on Cooma road. Turn left and it will take you back towards town and you’ll turn left onto Bombay Road just before town.

Or you can ride the Palerang trails (a bit rougher) through the Tallaganda State Forest. And you can turn onto Tally Ho Road and it will take you to Foxes Elbow and you’ll meet up with the Kings Highway in 11 kms.

Explore the Heritage Houses in Braidwood town. And find out the darker history with our self-guided Ghost Story Tour of the town. Enter your details below and I’ll send you the 10 pages of stories I’ve collected from local residents.
